Unfinished Business
Brandi Booth and Brixton Berman
We lost Jeremy. We shouldn't have had to lose the years that followed, too.
On January 9, 2023, our daughter, Brixton, lost her father, and I lost my sweet Jeremy. But the tragedy didn't stop there. Before we even had the chance to properly grieve, a legal dispute began just weeks after Jeremy's death. It has taken an enormous emotional and financial toll on our family. We've spent these past few years dealing with an extraordinary situation that's difficult to put into words, but for the first time, the end finally feels within reach.
Now, we need your help to see this through. After a long probate case concerning the Estate of Jeremy Michael Berman, I was confirmed as the executor and sole beneficiary of his estate. But I'm still involved in a separate civil lawsuit against the same opposing party, with trial currently scheduled for April 12, 2027.
In my experience, I've learned that many people prefer to keep their distance from legal disputes. I understand that hesitation. But behind these mounting expenses is a single mother raising her daughter alone. Over the years, I have endured unimaginable loss and scrutiny, and yet I found the strength to continue the fight.
Every step of the way, I know Jeremy is beaming down at Brixton and me from above, proud of how far we've come. It's been a long and painful road, and I won't give up until this chapter is finally behind us. That's where your support can help us so much.
With trial approaching, we're raising funds to help offset ongoing legal expenses and alleviate the financial pressures that have accumulated. Every contribution allows me to devote more of my time and resources to Brixton.
Please consider making a donation today in Jeremy's memory, in honor of the amazing life he lived and the family he loved with all his heart. Whether it's just a few bucks, a significant contribution, or simply sharing our fundraiser, every action makes a meaningful difference.
Brixton and I can never get these years back, but together, we can still shape what comes next. My greatest hope is to wrap up this unfinished business. And when that day comes, Brixton and I can finally grieve Jer the way we should have been able to from the very beginning.
For Jeremy. For Justice. ❤️
With love and endless gratitude,
Brandi & Brixton
